Oùcécap’s take
Berlin due north, Luanda due south: Tripoli sits almost on the same meridian as these two capitals. From London, Libya’s capital lies south-east, at 147°, 2,334 km away; from Rome, it is due south, at 176°. From New York, a flat map would show east (96°), but the compass says 65°, north-east. A landmark: Valletta is to the north, 356 km away.
