Oùcécap’s take
Heading for Mexico City from London, turn much further north than a flat map suggests: the compass says 289°, west, against 248° on the map. The shortest route crosses the North Atlantic and then the United States before reaching the Gulf of Mexico. From New York, 3,358 km away, aim south-west, at 233°. Mexico City also shares its latitude with Naypyidaw.
