Oùcécap’s take
Tehran sits where two simple lines cross: due east of London (93°, 4,400 km away) and due north of Saint-Denis on Réunion Island (356°). Yet from London a flat map would put it south-east, at 113°. From New York, the compass aims at 41°, north-east, while the map says due east (93°). A landmark: Valletta lies on the same latitude.
