Oùcécap’s take
Starting from Rome, aim due east: Skopje is at 86°, 739 km away, on the same latitude. From London, aim south-east, at 115°, 1,942 km away. From New York, almost on that latitude too, a flat map says due east (89°), while the compass says 53°, north-east. A landmark: Warsaw lies due north of North Macedonia’s capital.
