Oùcécap’s take
Baghdad, Yerevan and Tbilisi sit almost on Sanaa’s meridian: from Yemen’s capital, all three are due north. From London, aim south-east, at 119°, 5,611 km away, where a flat map would say 135°. From New York the gap reaches 44°: 104°, east, on the map, 60°, north-east, on the compass, via the Mediterranean and Egypt. Asmara lies due west, 565 km away.
