Oùcécap’s take
Bujumbura sits on the shore of Lake Tanganyika; from London, aim south-east, at 146°, 6,710 km away. From New York, a flat map would point you to 115°, south-east; the compass says 84°, east. To place it, remember that it shares Brazzaville’s latitude and that Kigali is only 176 km to the north-east.
