Oùcécap’s take
Amman lies south-east of London, at 113°, 3,640 km away. From Montreal, the gap is much wider: a flat map would put it east, at 99°, but your compass says 54°, north-east. To place Jordan’s capital, remember that it shares Tripoli’s latitude and that Damascus is only 176 km to the north.
