Oùcécap’s take
Abuja shares its meridian with Bern, far to the north; from London, you aim south, at 169°, 4,769 km away. The real trap comes from America: from New York, a flat map would have you aim at 114°, south-east, while the compass says 89°, due east. One last landmark for Nigeria’s capital: it lies on the same latitude as Addis Ababa.
